SupportLinc Employee Assistance Program is a voluntary program that provides professional, confidential counseling to assist IU employees and their household members, when day-to-day activities are interrupted by stress. Aware Recovery Care, a 100% customized, in-home, year-long addiction treatment program, provides services that are covered in-network under all IU-sponsored medical plans. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides 12 weeks of absence to eligible employees for certain family and medical reasons. This includes substance and alcohol use treatment provided by a healthcare provider (see the IU FMLA policy for complete details). The purpose of FMLA is to help eligible employees balance work and family obligations while providing an element of job security during the leave period.

A confidential, free, 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year, information service for individuals and family members facing mental and/or substance use disorders. This service provides referrals to local treatment facilities, support groups, and community-based organizations.
