Statewide Resources

  • SupportLinc Employee Assistance Program is a voluntary program that provides professional, confidential counseling to assist IU employees and their household members, when day-to-day activities are interrupted by stress. Common reasons to use IUEAP services include: Depression, Stress and anxiety, Conflict in the workplace, Drug and alcohol abuse, Family and marital problems, Grief and loss. Learn more »
  • Employees and their spouses enrolled in an IU-sponsored medical plan are eligible for tobacco cessation assistance including a cessation program, prescriptions, and over-the-counter nicotine replacement products.
  • Aware Recovery Care, a 100% customized, in-home, year-long addiction treatment program, provides services that are covered in-network under all IU-sponsored medical plans.   • No matter where you are in your recovery journey, Recovery Centers of Indianapolis offers in-network services and support that are covered under your IU-sponsored medical plan.   • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides 12 weeks of absence to eligible employees for certain family and medical reasons. This includes substance and alcohol use treatment provided by a healthcare provider (see the IU FMLA policy for complete details). The purpose of FMLA is to help eligible employees balance work and family obligations while providing an element of job security during the leave period.

A confidential, free, 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year, information service for individuals and family members facing mental and/or substance use disorders. This service provides referrals to local treatment facilities, support groups, and community-based organizations.

IU Health Adult Substance Use Recovery Intensive Outpatient Program supports individuals who can benefit from participation in a structured therapeutic recovery program while still maintaining involvement in school or employment. Call (812) 353-3450 for more information.

Amethyst House, Inc. is a non-profit United Way agency that provides residential and outpatient services for substance and alcohol abuse as well as gambling concerns. Call 812-336-3570, ext. 200 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Centerstone of Indiana, Inc. is a not-for-profit healthcare organization that provides mental health and substance abuse treatment, education, and support. The agency provides 24-hour crisis services, outpatient counseling, substance abuse, and addiction disorder treatment, and numerous other services. IU Health Chemical Dependency Detox Program

Eskenazi Health Midtown Addiction Services provides outpatient care and treatment for clients with addictions to drugs, alcohol and gambling. Call (317) 880-8491 for more information and assistance.

Hope Academy is Indiana’s only accredited recovery high school with a focus on sobriety and academic success for students grades 9-12. It is a public charter, tuition-free high school offering free transportation throughout Indianapolis and surrounding communities.

LifeSpring’s The Recover Campus is a unique combination of both Integrated Treatment Center and the Turning Point Center which provides a one-stop experience for the needs of clients who have both a mental illness and substance abuse disorder.
