  • IU Benefits

    • SupportLinc Employee Assistance Program is a voluntary program that provides professional, confidential counseling to assist IU employees and their household members, when day-to-day activities are interrupted by stress. Common reasons to use IUEAP services include: Depression, Stress and anxiety, Conflict in the workplace, Drug and alcohol abuse, Family and marital problems, Grief and loss. Learn more »
    • Employees and their spouses enrolled in an IU-sponsored medical plan are eligible for tobacco cessation assistance including a cessation program, prescriptions, and over-the-counter nicotine replacement products.
    • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides 12 weeks of absence to eligible employees for certain family and medical reasons.  This includes substance and alcohol use treatment provided by a healthcare provider (see the IU FMLA policy for complete details). The purpose of FMLA is to help eligible employees balance work and family obligations while providing an element of job security during the leave period.
  • Substance Use Hotlines and Treatment Locators

    • Indiana Addictions Hotline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357) or TTY: 1-800-487-4889. A confidential, free, 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year, information service for individuals and family members facing mental and/or substance use disorders. This service provides referrals to local treatment facilities, support groups, and community-based organizations.
    • RehabSpot will connect you to compassionate treatment specialist 24/7. For help, call 855-961-1023.
    • Cigna's Veteran Support Line will help all veterans, their families and caregivers with services and resources for pain management and substance use counseling and treatment. Services are provided whether or not the veteran is a Cigna customer. Call 1-855-244-6211 for more information.

  • IU Bloomington

    IU Health Adult Substance Use Recovery Intensive Outpatient Program support individuals who can benefit from participation in a structured therapeutic recovery program while still maintaining involvement in school or employment.  Call (812) 353-3450 for more information.

    Amethyst House, Inc. is a non-profit United Way agency that provides residential and outpatient services for substance and alcohol abuse as well as gambling concerns. Call 812-336-3570, ext. 200 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

    Centerstone of Indiana, Inc. is a not-for-profit health care organization that provides mental health and substance abuse treatment, education and support.  The agency provides 24-hour crisis services, outpatient counseling, substance abuse and addiction disorder treatment, and numerous other services.     IU Health Chemical Dependency Detox Program 

    Eskenazi Health Midtown Addiction Services provides outpatient care and treatment for clients with addictions to drugs, alcohol and gambling. Call (317) 880-8491 for more information and assistance.

    Fairbanks alcohol and drug treatment center offers programs for adults, young adults and adolescents.  Call 1-800-225-4673 for more information and assistance.

    Valle Vista Health System offers a full continuum of care for those suffering from mental health or addiction problems. Call 1-800-447-1348 for more information and assistance.

  • IU East

    Meridian Health Services Addictions & Recovery Center provides two levels of care, residential detoxification and residential treatment.  Call 765-373-8704 for more information and assistance

    Indiana Comprehensive Treatment Centers provides medically-supervised medication assisted treatment for men and women, aged 18 and older. Call 855-661-4596 for more information and assistance.

  • IU Kokomo

    The Gilead House offers free, personalized outreach programs and services for men, women and their children recovering from drug or alcohol addictions. Call (765) 865-9427 for more information and assistance. 

    Community Howard Behavioral Health provides 24 hour crisis intervention, addictions recovery and wrap around services. For appointments or 24-hour crisis services, call (765) 776-8555 or toll-free at 888-204-6242.

  • IU Northwest

    Edgewater Health offers a variety of addiction treatment services to adults 18 and older to promote recovery and the best possible outcomes.

    Pinnacle Treatment Centers provides a full continuum of care that includes detoxification for residential and outpatient clients as well as transitional living programs. Call 888-792-4639 for more information and assistance.

    Regional Health Systems Mental Health Center offers treatment for substance and drug abuse through a residential or outpatient program for adults and youth. Call the 24 hour crisis line at (219) 736-7200 or for questions dial 1-888-398-7050.

  • IU South Bend

    Oaklawn Services offers specialized addictions treatment programs of adolescents and adults.  Goshen and Elkhart call: 574-533-1234. South Bend call: 574-283-1234.

  • IU Southeast

    LifeSpring's The Recover Campus is a unique combination of both Integrated Treatment Center and the Turning Point Center which provides a one-stop experience for the needs of clients who have both a mental illness and substance abuse disorder.

    Wellstone Regional Hospital offers an addiction treatment program, "Stepping Stones to Recover," for adults ages 18 and older.  Nursing care is offered 24-hours a day for patient detoxification in a secure setting.  Call 812-284-8000 for more information and assistance.
