Come walk with us! Each Indiana University campus will celebrate World Heart Day with a lunchtime walk. Bring your friends and coworkers as we show our support for a healthy campus. Free t-shirts & visors while supplies last.
Chancellor’s Challenge
This year, it’s personal: The chancellor/provost of each campus has accepted the challenge of having the most participation on his or her campus. The campus with the highest percentage of participating staff/faculty wins. We’re talking bragging rights for a whole year!
Your Campus Route
Each route is less than a mile so you can come to the walk during your lunchtime. We hope this inspires you to gather friends for walking breaks, consider a walking meeting, or walk on your own in the future!
Start at the Sample Gates at Noon for the Kickoff on September 29, 2015!
We’ll walk the Red Brick Trail after the Kickoff!
If it rains we’ll have the Kickoff and the walk at Wildermuth Intramural Center (WIC).
Start at The Rotary Building at 11:00 a.m. on September 29, 2015!
If it rains we’ll start at University Tower and use the enclosed walkways (Gerbil Tubes). (See rain location map.)
Start in the Quad at Noon on September 29, 2015!
If there’s light rain, we’ll bring umbrellas. If there’s heavy rain, we will cancel.
IU Kokomo participated in the World Heart Day Walk & Chancellor’s Challenge on Tuesday, September 15 in conjunction with their 70th Anniversary celebration!

We’ll walk this .25 mile route twice!

We’ll be following Trail #1 (see below), also known as the Grenadier-Alumni Loop.
