Reminder when you check your blood pressure, follow these instructions for the most accurate reading:
- Sit quietly for 3-5 minutes before starting the machine.
- Sit in a comfortable position with your legs and ankles uncrossed.
- Rest your arm comfortably in the cuff and keep your hand relaxed.
- If possible, place the cuff over bare skin and not over clothing.
- Do not talk or move while the machine is on.
- Repeat the screening 2-3 minutes after the first one to compare.
- Document your readings and track your numbers.
Note: This is a screening and not diagnostic. Please follow up with your health care provider as needed.
