Wellness Rooms for Lactating Parents

The IUPUI campus currently provides 31 private wellness rooms to support Academic, Staff, and Students who are lactating. Each room is secure, clean, and easy to use. The University strives to add more rooms at a variety of locations on campus. Please contact Healthy IU for more information or to provide updates on locations.

Also included, are room locations at the practicing medical facilities and centers for the IUSM Academic, Staff and Students.

Note: Refrigeration and milk storage are not available in every location. If you need further assistance, please contact Healthy IU at healthyu@iu.edu. For information on how to store breastmilk while working, visit the CDC recommendations website.

The room can be scheduled 72 hours in advance for a max 30 minute window. If it will not be used or is not needed for the entire time, we ask that users cancel ahead of time or release the room early when completed. The room can be scheduled at the panel and released at the room's panel.

How to Access This room is located in the AOC of University Hospital on the 5th floor. It does not require key/card access or a reservation. Room usage is first come, first served.

How to Access: The room is located in the hallway to the right of the Pop Shop on the 2nd floor. The room access code can be access at the Information & Service Desk on Level Two of the library.

Supporting Lactating Employees & Colleagues
