IU Work + Life Community Network
"Building Community Across IU Campuses, Peer-to-Peer"
IU Work + Life Community Network, where IU employee groups connect for engagement and enrichment around a shared interest or life stage. The Work + Life Community Network groups are peer-led and employee driven, so group members determine how and when they meet as well as the topic discussions and activities that will take place.
IU Parenting community group is specifically designed for faculty and staff who are interested in connecting with other IU parents to learn, share resources, and network over the shared experience of parenting and/or caregiving. For more information, please contact Healthy IU | Work + Life office.
- IU Work + Life Book Club: For our first virtual book club, we are reading The Book of Joy. In this book, the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Tutu look back on their lives to answer a single burning question: How do we find joy in the face of life’s inevitable suffering? They share stories about how they have been tested by adversity, yet have still found happiness. For more information, please contact Healthy IU | Work + Life office.
IU Working Moms' Group provides a community for female employees who are maintaining a career alongside their parenting responsibilities. The group meet for lunch, once a month, at various locations around campus. Moms with children of all ages, from newborns to adults, are welcome. To join, email Amanda Peterson at firstname.lastname@example.org or like the Facebook group page.
Noontime Yoga Group members meet twice a week for an energizing hour of essential Hatha Yoga. Please contact Joan Middendorf at email@example.com for more information.
