  • INCENTIVE

    As an incentive, eligible participants who log their progress every week and complete a post-challenge survey will have a their choice of:

    1. A Fitbit Flex* ($79.95 value considered taxable income)
      - OR -
    2. 12 ADDITIONAL weeks of Weight Watchers** ($156 value considered taxable income)

    *Please note this eligibility update since last year: If you have received a Fitbit Flex from Healthy IU before, you can receive another one (if you meet the eligibility requirements listed below).

    **The 12 weeks of Weight Watchers incentive is in ADDITION to any Weight Watchers program you access DURING the Challenge. You do not have to participate in Weight Watchers during the challenge to choose it as your incentive.

    ELIGIBILITY

    To receive an incentive for the Feel Great IU Challenge, you must:

    • Be employed by Indiana University as a full-time (75% FTE or greater) appointed Staff or Academic employee (this includes full-time service personnel) OR a spouse covered on an IU sponsored medical plan.
    • Utilize the Feel Great IU online tracker throughout the 12 week program for personal accountability.
    • Pay the income tax for the incentive value. The incentive is considered taxable income and will be reported on box one of the IU employee's W-2. (Tax will vary depending on your personal income and deductions, but the usual range is 15-35% of the value.)
  • INCENTIVE PICKUP DATES

    Those who are eligible and complete the Challenge and Post-Challenge Evaluation Survey will receive an incentive. (See "Incentive" section above for details.) Incentive eligibility and participant completion will be checked on-site at the pickup, so please make sure you meet the requirements before you come.

    Can't make it to pickup? A friend or coworker can bring your completed tax form and pick up your incentive for you.

    Tax Form: You can download and print the incentive tax form to fill out before you come to the pickup. We will also have tax forms on hand at the pickups.

    IU Bloomington:

  • ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

    The Feel Great IU! Challenge is a 12-week university-wide online challenge to support you in attaining YOUR physical activity and/or weight management goals!

    Participants receive:

    • A personal online tracker where they can track either weight loss/maintenance; days of physical activity per week; or both. Click here for a preview of the online tracker.
    • Access to educational programs such as Group Wellness Coaching (on select campuses) & Weight Watchers (taxable value $156), Diabetes Prevention Program, Individual Nutrition Counseling, and Weight Talk, among many other programs. Space is limited. See Educational Programs section below for details.
    • Motivational e-mails.
    • A stellar incentive upon completion, to help them keep up with the healthy habits they have started. See Incentive section below for details and eligibility.
  • EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

    During the Challenge, programs such as Weight Watchers ($156 value considered taxable income), Group Lifestyle Coaching (on select campuses), Diabetes Prevention Program, Nutritional Counseling, Weight Talk, and more, will be available to help you on your journey.

    Programs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration for Weight Watchers and Group Wellness Coaching will only be available to those who have registered for Feel Great IU.
