Health Screenings

On-campus ways to measure your health.

  • Health Screenings

All full-time IU faculty and staff and their spouses on an IU medical plan are eligible to receive an annual free health screening with $100 (before tax) incentive. The health screening measures biometrics such as blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose levels, and body mass index (BMI). Screenings can be done on campus (free) or with your primary care physician (Healthy IU does not pay co-pays or deductibles).

To schedule your on-campus screening, call the Health and Wellness Center at 574-520-5557.

  • Self-Monitoring Blood Pressure Machines

High blood pressure can lead to serious health risks. Because high blood pressure often has no symptoms, it’s important to regularly monitor your blood pressure.

The blood pressure machine at IU South Bend is located at Northside Hall, 1825 Northside Blvd. (Lower Level Near Cafe)

  • Ergonomic Evaluation

Make your workspace work for you! Many of us spend most of our day at a desk, so it’s important to make sure our work environment is as comfortable as possible.
