Health Screenings

Explore some on-campus ways to measure your health.

  • Health Screenings

All full-time IU faculty and staff and their spouses on an IU medical plan are eligible to receive an annual free health screening with $100 (before tax) incentive. The health screening measures biometrics such as blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose levels, and body mass index (BMI). Screenings can be done on campus (free) or with your primary care physician (Healthy IU does not pay co-pays or deductibles).

On campus screenings at IU East take place in the spring/summer. To schedule your on-campus screening, call the Center for Health Promotion at 765-973-8216.

  • Self-Monitoring Blood Pressure Machines

High blood pressure can lead to serious health risks. Because high blood pressure often has no symptoms, it’s important to regularly monitor your blood pressure.

The blood pressure machine on the IU East campus is located in Hayes Hall, 1st Floor Lobby, in front of library.

  • Ergonomic Evaluation

Make your workspace work for you! Many of us spend most of our day at a desk, so it’s important to make sure our work environment is as comfortable as possible.

Check out the Ergonomics section of the Environmental Health & Safety webpage, or use this form to schedule an ergonomic evaluation.
